This is a private garden apartment with its own entrance, located on the lower level of a 1906 historic home. The space is thoughtfully set up for short stays, with everything you need to relax after a day out in the city.
Expect a clean, comfortable layout with natural light, a cozy living area, and a quiet atmosphere. The historic character of the home carries through, paired with practical updates for modern stays.
Best suited for 1 to 2 guests looking for a well-located, independent space.
Guests have full private access to the apartment via a separate entrance. Laundry facilities are available for guest use.
We live in the main home above and may be available if needed, but we respect your privacy. Most guests have little to no interaction beyond check-in unless they reach out.
Located on North Capitol Hill’s historic Federal Avenue, this neighborhood is known for its beautiful tree-lined streets, landmark homes, and easy walkability to Volunteer Park, local cafés, and Seattle’s vibrant Capitol Hill dining scene.
The apartment is very centrally located in North Capitol Hill. 1-2 blocks from bus line 49, 1 mile from the Link Capitol Hill station, 1 mile to University of Washington. Ride-shares are bike-shares are abundant.
This is a lower-level (garden) apartment, so you may hear occasional, normal household noise from above.
Street parking is typically available in front of the home or nearby.

Great place! Very nice room with all the basic amenities (no stove but electric cooking equipment provided) plus snacks. Clear instructions from the hosts. We ran into Christi on our way in, and she was very friendly and helpful.

The hosts were super friendly. The Airbnb was clean and perfect for a couple. If you are visiting family in the Capital Hill area, it is perfect.

Garth and Christi are amazing hosts. Their garden apt was an awesome, cozy, place to stay. They reached out quite a few times during my time there making sure if everything was OK and if I had any questions or issues just message them (I didn't have any issue whatsoever). I HIGHLY recommend! 10/10!

We absolutely loved staying here! We were in Seattle for a few nights on a motorcycle trip down from Canada, and this was the perfect home base. The location was fantastic, with easy access to everything by foot, train, or bus. The neighbourhood was beautiful and welcoming, we especially loved our morning walks to Copper Tree Coffee House. The space was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed, with plenty of room for all of our motorcycle gear after long days on the road. The hosts Garth and Christi truly made this stay unforgettable; they are some of the kindest, most welcoming hosts we've ever had! They invited us to join them for the July 4th fireworks, helped us out with a small motorcycle issue, and even treated us to delicious snacks. Their generosity and genuine hospitality made us feel less like guests and more like friends. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting Seattle. We'd happily stay here again in a heartbeat!

Tuve una excelente experiencia en este alojamiento. Desde mi llegada, todo estuvo muy limpio, ordenado y bien cuidado. El lugar es cómodo, tranquilo y cuenta con todo lo necesario para disfrutar de una estancia agradable. La atención fue excelente; siempre fueron amables, atentos y dispuestos a ayudar con cualquier duda o necesidad. La ubicación también es muy conveniente, ya que permite desplazarse fácilmente a los principales puntos de interés. Sin duda, es un lugar que recomiendo por su comodidad, limpieza y excelente servicio. Si vuelvo a la zona, me hospedaría aquí nuevamente.

Overall the stay was good. Close to the interstate, decently close to public transit. Be aware the host does have a dog and will be up and running around upstairs both before and after the listed “Quiet hours”. During my stay they were up around 6am and up as late as midnight.

We had a wonderful stay for a little under one week. The space was clearly very well cared for, thought out, well appointed, and really clean. Garth and Christi are welcoming, thoughtful, and kind. Their home (the stay is in a separate part of the house with a separate entrance) is quiet and in a lovely Capitol Hill neighborhood. The street is quiet and low traffic, but with main roads near enough for easy access. We hope we will be able to stay again as we fairly often visit Seattle. Our highest recommendation and thanks for a truly great stay!
